Hair Pic??

Im getting my hair cut. I want it to be layered at an angel so that the front is shorter than the back but I cant find any good pictures to show my hair stylist does anybody have a good link to a picture of this style or at least a hair style website so I can think of some other ideas??

Hair Pic??

um no. but i do no if you type some in google it will come up.

Hair Pic??

Jenny McCarthy has that haircut and it is really really cute! Look at these pics and maybe print them off and show them to your hairstylist. No wait...I just looked and misread your question. You want your hair the opposite of Jenny's. Oh well, if you change your mind, go look at the pics below:

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff150...

creepy pic, i know, but it shows off my hair!

anyway, i'll be using hot topic color fiend red to do different size and width streaks over the summmer.

will it look good?

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Try it! I think it could work

You'd also suit copper or plum for a more natural colour; and for other wierd colours, I'd suggest purple or pink, but do what you like.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Yeah I think so!

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

I think you should dye your hair a more darker, richer brown, then put red streaks in it.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Bleach it blonde, see how you like that... As for red streaks yeah it will look good.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

sure why not.

go for it....if you dont like it you can always dye it back.

have fun with your hair.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Hell yeah they will

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Yeah but red washes out of your hair really fast it wount even last 3 weeks!

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

no.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

personal opinion from meh: sure you'll look pretty :D

:D:D

:P

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

Sure! Not too bright though hun.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

in my opinion your hair is too bright of a brown to put red streaks in.. if you dye it a few shades darker itd look good though

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

i thnk that it would look better if you darken your base color first and then put in the red

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

You have flakes on your scalp. I'd do something about that first before you messed with the streaks.

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

if you want to look like a fckin ghost go right ahead...in other words hell no

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

definitely. red of any shade is like a natural highlight in brown hair. it will bring out your natural highlights as well, and make your eyes stand out. but if you have blue or green eyes, don't do it, it will make it look like you are Miss-matched

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

dont make it s cherry color thing, it looks lo gross, with the girls at my school

You should make it a darker brown or even black, that would look better

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

i dont think so

i think you should put some highlights in your hair though jsut to make it look like theres more than one color in your hair but red and brown doesnt really sounds great at all just look up brown hair with highlights on google something on there would look goog on you

Will red streaks look good in my brown hair?

i would go with some blond for you,go with a camerin diaz

How do you glue in hair weave so that the scalp is not showing?

how do you attach hair weave so that the scalp isnt showing and all you can see is the weave and the bangs of the weave

How do you glue in hair weave so that the scalp is not showing?

A BEAUTICIANS SKILLED ART you have to decipher where you want to weave the hair you section parts of the hair where u want to apply the weave and apply the glue to the extensiond and add to the scalp and press a few seconds to let dry this is a technique that you need to see not read about reading is easier than actually doing it..because u may or maynot make a mistake----from a beautician%26gt;

How do you glue in hair weave so that the scalp is not showing?

use hair glue!

How do you glue in hair weave so that the scalp is not showing?

I am really not understanding your question but I will try to answer the best way I can..You want the scalp to show. You do not glue the hair on the scalp just a little below it..Hope that helps

How to do my hair?

I have very fine blonde hair, which traditionally i shave very short but after a good couple of months of nagging from the missus i have decided ( or she has decided for me) to grow it longer. I would like it messy/spikey but have no clue when it comes to best products to use or how to style it. Also is there a way to bulk out my fine hair so people dont take the piss saying im going bald - alot of my scalp tends to show because my hair is that fine, although there is a full head of hair - honest haha

How to do my hair?

my hair is ver fine to and i rinse my hair with 1 egg yolk, lime juice, and olive oil and it gives my hair volume and shine so i dont need to oil it and wear it down since its already thin and limp

How to do my hair?

It's you hair do what you want with it,

Be free let your hair down now and then.

How important is a guys hair to girls (18-22) ?

I like to think of myself as an attractive guy...but over the past year or so the corners of my forhead have receeded a bit. This is an actor who has a lot more thinning overall and more recession but its an idea: http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo....

Right now my hair's buzzed short, I wanna try and grow it out but I have straight hair and its kinda boring...anyways I've been going out a lot because I just got out of a long relationship but I find myself wearing hats, not to consciously hide my hair but cause I always have and its a good look sometimes. I'm actually kind seeing a girl (not that serious but we've hung out multiple times) and I just realized she hasn't even seen my hair, now im nervous to show her . Does a guys hairline have to be straight to be attractive to girls in their early 20s?? I have a lot else going on for me..but does the hair ruin it?

How important is a guys hair to girls (18-22) ?

When I met my husband exactly 10 years ago, he was in his early twenties (as was I) and he already had a slight receeding hairline. I'll be honest - I wasn't blind - I noticed it right away. It didn't bother him and it certainly didn't bother me either. He was funny, honest, kind-hearted, driven and we clicked. That was all that mattered to me. We've been married 8 years this year. You should see him now! He's not too far from the Yul Brynner look! And you know what? I think he's sexier for it!

The only way your hair can ruin it for you is if you obsess about it and start doing weird things to "improve" it...(read: hiding under a wig, spray-hair, going for transplants etc)

Honey, any girl who rejects you for your hair isn't the girl for you. Good luck!

PS Jason Statham is HOT!

How important is a guys hair to girls (18-22) ?

Honestly, don't worry about it. It sounds like she likes you and your hair shouldn't really matter. It doesn't sound like it's BUTT-UGLY. She might think it's cute. You're really stressing over nothing. Good luck.

How important is a guys hair to girls (18-22) ?

i don't really care about a guys hair i think you should know that you have no reason to be self conscious, also wearing a hat all the time holds in heat and actually makes your hair fall out because the excess heat kills the hair-follices.

but NO hair is not a big deal hello...Shawn Connery, i am 22 and i would do him, hair has no bearing for me, and i am sure most any chick would say the same thing...hott is hott hair or not.

so loose the hat and JUST BE YOU.

What colour should i dye my hair?

Right, i have like a dark brown kinda naturally highlighted hair

Ive died it black once before about 6 months ago (supposedly permanant) and the colour came out after a few weeks =/

Anyway this is my hair now

Taken after a looooong day of college 鍗鍗?/p>

Anyway, I want like red maybe in the hair ?

I have no clue, i just want to shange my hair colour

Usually the style is like this but i left it down to show un hairsprayed hair lol

http://i12.tinypic.com/6lw50tg.png

Thanks for your suggestions!

What colour should i dye my hair?

i think that you should dye it with a reddish tint, its going to look so pretty.

not red. like a reddish tint, its gonna look amazing.

What colour should i dye my hair?

I love red streaks in dark brown/black hair and I think it would really suit you :)

What colour should i dye my hair?

I think you would look sooo hott with black hair!!! I like your hair not hairsprayed more!!! VERYY CLASSYY!! :D

What colour should i dye my hair?

I would dye it that shade of red, that is like darker kind of burgundy red. It would look really good on you! If not that, you should get blonde highlights.

What colour should i dye my hair?

i feel you look cute with your natural hair............its got a lovely shine....why dont you streak it a lil bit...just a little....not very light but some thing which will go with your natural highlight

Any ideas - send me a link. (:

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

I have an ingrown hair around my vagina and I noticed a white tip on it like you would find on a zit. I sqeezed at it and ALOT of pus came out. I noticed a little blood in the pus so I decided that it was probably best to stop squeezing. Is it normal to find pus in a enlarged bump, otherwise known as an ingrown hair?oh, and will I have to get all the pus out befre the hair appears or will it show up while I'm getting the FOWL SMELLING pus out?

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

your skin is becoming irritated and making the pus. if you can get a good angle and see it, use a needle and hook the hair to get it straight, and then tweeze it out...

if you can't see it, just keep neosporin-ing it until the the layer of skin it's attached to is on the top layer and falls off

squeezing MAY get the hair to appear and 'right' itself, or it may just make the area bruise.. so be careful!!

yeah and the pus should be a ball smaller than the size of a sesame seed... if it's more pus than that, get it checked out :/

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

I get a lot of ingrown hairs when I shave down there, so I'm sure other people get them as well, but fowl-smelling pus? Are you sure it's ingrown hairs and not something else?

Perhaps you sould get tested.

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

Squeeze everything out that you can get out. Hopefully the hair will appear and you can pull it out.

Clean the area very well and use alcohol to clean it again.

Wipe it with alcohol every time you use the bathroom for a couple of days. You may need to put a pad on or some folded up t-paper for a little while to catch the bleeding.

You will be fine, lots of people get them.

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

it could be a cyst/boil, which if it is needs to be drained by a doctor...also, the doctor will need to prescribe you some antibiotics for the bacterial infection

hope i was able to help

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

well honey, i had the very same problem and i decided to see my dermatologist. He told me that rubbing a topical aloe vera solution around my vagina would improve things in no time and make it less irritating. I was skeptical but after 2 days of applying it i was all better. just go to a local drugstore and buy some aloe vera gel and apply it liberally. trust me hun, it will work, i guarantee it.

Ingrown hair around vaginal area that I have a question about?

ingrown hairs are common when people shave. It's the hair not breaking the surface of the skin and becoming infected. I haven't gotten one in a long time, but I squeeze them out and pull the hair out. you can try to exfoliate that area before you shave next time, because I do that every once and a while and it helps make a good shave.

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

i have brown hair and just got new hihglights, blond , and the hair style i was going to were does not show them!!!!!! my hair is really long and is going to be blown out!!!!!!!!! and i have bangs 5that come down to about my cheek!!!!!!!!!! what ever i were i must have a head band!!!!!!!! plese help me pick my hair style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

I think that you should wear a cute polka dotted headband, with your bangs in front of it. Just leave your bangs to the side, and then put the headband right on the top but with all the hair besides the bangs in it.

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

I always like the swoop bands with a handband and the hair in a low messy bun very nicole richie

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

put peanut butter on your face for a nice smooth wrinkelless conplection

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

cut your bangs so they are side swpet and choppy looking. get the highlight sbolder if they don't show..

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

being that its the first day you should try and straighten so people can see how much it has grown......also with your bangs you could tuck them behind your ears and then put the headband over them so it dowesnt look pulled back!

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

i would say a side sweep of bangs on your forehead.

Here place your bangs to your left ear lobe and straighten out your hair. Next add a little wave to the bottom of you do. Your done.

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

Girl, nothing shows off highlights more then wavy soft curls! Just put your hair in some big barrelled curlers for about 20mins, or if you have a wide curling iron that works well too. Trust me if you want to show off your highlights, this is deff the way to do it!

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

omg...when i saw your avatar i just had to make a comment with an avatar so scary as your own you should focus only on fixing itrather than worrying about your hair.

First day of school hair question!!!!!!!!!1?

First...DONT COVER YOUR FACE WITH YOUR BANGS! Think something along the line of Jennifer Anniston.

How would I put these hair dyes in?

http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p...

and

http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p...

also would these colors show up in black hair(natural) and how long would they stay? o and im just doing a little bit in the back. How would i put them in?

How would I put these hair dyes in?

im not sure that it will show up in dark hair. i tryed to do hot pink in mine and its a dark brown but it didnt show up at all. however it was a different brand. ive heard that manic panic shows up in darker hair so i might give that a try

How would I put these hair dyes in?

I would have someone dab them into a spherical sponge and whip them at the back of your head.

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professio

my natural hair colour is blonde but it started to get darker at the top so i dyed it a lighter blonde and noe the roots are showing and i dont want to dye it anymore or grow it out

i ned help immediatly and i dont really want to go to a salon professional help if possible

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

you can get all sorts of home hair-dying kits for roots at ur local chemist

they come in lots of ranges of color and aren't generally too expensive

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

You'll just have to do root touch ups every 6 weeks. It will be a lot less expensive than dying your hair completely. Go to a beauty store and find your match and you'll be set, if you don't mind doing it yourself!

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

Spend about 10 bucks at any local store that sells root touch up hair dye. Its pretty self explanatory to use and doesn't take much time.

Dying your hair, either fully or just the roots is something you're ALWAYS going to have to keep up with since you dyed your higher lighter then your natural color.

Its cheaper doing it yourself, just don't do it too often, as you'll risk damaging your hair pretty badly.

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

You're on a slippery slope now, you can either let it grow totally out (which you say you don't want to do - don't blame you, it looks gross), keep dying it (which will wreck your hair) or you can dye it back to close to your natural colour.

Get an "at home" dye from the chemist or supermarket, just follow the instructions on the box and you'll be fine.

:)

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

hi

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

Well. you really should go to a salon because only a professional can offer you a color that won't damage your hair. The colors they have at a drugstore are bad for your hair and can damage the hair shaft because they are metallic dyes. Either let it grow out or go to a salon and get a touch-up.

I dyed my hair a lighter blonde but the roots are showing and i dont want to keep dying it professional help?

Go out and have your hair dyed your natural color, BY A PROFESSIONAL.

you are ruining your hair with these cheap do it yourself kits!

Go to a good, well known salon in your area and get it fixed by someone who knows what they are doing! I honestly do NOT reccommend these cheapy hair kits you find in walmart, they're JUNK. if you have to resort to dying your hair yourself, go to a store such as Sally Beauty Supply and get your dye from there!! Be sure to tone it with a hair toning shampoo to get out brassy-ness as well!

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

all those "s's".

My hair is dark brown and naturally curly. Highlighted and straight-permed. It feels silky but it doesn't look silky. You can see every single strand and it isn't shiny.you can see the ends stick out. How can I make my strands blend in all together (so they don't show) and make my hair shiny and smooth and straight looking? 5 stars and 10 points for best answer. I'm desprate. what do I do, salon treatment or something?

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

hey

if your hair is naturaly curly and you what for defo it straight go to saloon and get it professional straighten. then buy products like silky shampoo and con. then buy some straightens it keep it straight. oryou could go to your local hairdressers and ask them whats the best to do

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

For truly "healthy" hair, take Biotin and Zinc supplements every day... you'll get much longer, stronger, healthy hair very quickly! As for smooth and shiny, I use "Silk Works" Professional, Hask's "Pure Shine" Spray-On Luminator, and I use Herbal Essences' "Break's Over" Strengthening Conditioner. By the way, I have people stop me on the street nearly every day complimenting my hair. Give it a try! You'll love the results! :)

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

Easy just wash your hair with rain water.

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

There are a lot of shampoos, conditioner, hair treatment/mask available in the market. I have tried L'Oreal Elseve (choose the one for straight %26amp; shiny hair). It is reasonably priced. There are better other brands like Kerastase or S Factor (Bed Head), but those are very costly. I have tried S Factor - Lusterizer and it looks good on the hair because it shimmers because it contains tiny glitters. Using a hair iron can make your hair shiny, straight and smooth. But make sure you use a hair protectant so your hair will somehow be protected from direct heat caused by ironing. One good brand is Schwartzkopf Flatliner iron serum. Atop of this, have a regular hair treatment every other week to keep your hair in good shape and healthy. Brushing 100 stokes a day can help make your hair shine. Drink and eat healthy too.

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

Wash ur hair with a warn water, it and comb it

i think that will work

How to get straight, smooth, silky, shiny, strong hair?

*use olive oil or carrot oil on your hair( it really works to keep my permed hair strong and silky).

*wash 2 times a week or if you have ethnic hair maybe try washing 1 time every 2 weeks.(has really good texture if you dont wash it all the time).

*wrap your hair at night(this makes hair really smooth)

type wraping hair or wrap hair on google, yahooanswers, yahoo, or about.com and your sure to get some instructions.

there are different ways and technignes of wrapping your hair so keep that in mind.

What is a good way to style shoulder-length hair?

I am going out tomorrow night to a concert. Usually I go to punk shows, so my hair is pretty wild. But I am going to a Celtic music concert and I would like something a bit more grown up and glam. I have very very thick hair, and it is blond. It is about shoulder length, in the longest part, which is in the front. I have chunky nose length bangs, and some razor-cut layers. The back is slightly shorter than the front.

Thanks!

What is a good way to style shoulder-length hair?

Hi

I think you should straighten your hair... and then get a diamnate clip and puff up the front bit and clip it back (like in your aviator)

It looks cute and its simple to do, the diamante clip just adds a bit of glam. Its a good hairstyle to go with ive worn it like that qute a few times and always get nice comments.

If you want to glam it even more you can straighten your hair and then curl little pieces of it here and there.. it looks really good.

What is a good way to style shoulder-length hair?

the cut would depend a lot on whether u have curly, straight or wavy hair. Since you already have razor layers...getting them done all over would look really good. And if you don't want a haircut then try an updo with random locks coming out of the bun or pony, whichever you go with...

What is a good way to style shoulder-length hair?

You can never go wrong with staight and sexy. Less is better sometimes especially when it's new for you. But remember crimps are in now.

What is a good way to style shoulder-length hair?

for what you described, i would definately use rolers (hair-rolers, duh =P) to turn the tips outwards. then add a few clips matching to your clothes.

finished! easy and glam! =]

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

I find it disgusting that millions of Black women chemically straighten their hair religiously. I used to do it because I was always told that long/straight hair=beautiful. Sometimes I would never go outside the house if my newgrowth was showing. My hair used to be down to my back and it was long and straight always. The thing that bothered me is that when i had relaxed and long hair. Boys would always touch and stuff. My hair was badly damaged and I wanted to cut it off because I was tired of straightneing it. Why countine to change something that's impossible to do?? So I keep cutting my hair every 1 or two until all of my relaxed hair was gone. Now I'm natural and my hair is still short it's been a year now and it's grown out a little. The thing that bothers me is that, people, are always teasing me about my hair saying it's nappy and that I should have keep it longer. And I had put my hair in twists and kids Black kids, said that I looked like an African person from the discovery

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

"Why does this good and bad hair hierachy still exsist in the Black community?" because of the Willie Lynch paper. search online "Willie Lynch paper" and the problems in the black community will be so obvious.

ive never had a perm, but i do press my hair with a hot comb. i dont wear my hair straight to assimilate with white people, i could care less what they think. every now and then ill braid my hair when i get tired of the press. i had the same problems in school as you did, praisal by other races and not my own. the black girls hated me because my hair was longer than theirs and it wasnt a perm, on the other hand, the black boys praised me for my hair. i like how my hair looks after i wash it, but i think it should be shorter to be worn that way, my hair is neck length by the way. i also have to find the right hair ointment so my hair doesnt dry out too much if i wear it natural.

what i love about our hair is that it is so versatile. it can be worn straight, curled, crimped, braided, twisted, dreded, and natural with our tight curls (i dont call our hair nappy it gives us a complex). just be you and wear your hair however you want. not all black men are the same and in the future one will come along and love you, not for your hair, but for who you are. stay positive my sista!

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Ok, I'm going to answer this with a question. While I feel you, you do know that you're opening the floor to racist abuse with this question, right?

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

i don't to much like perms either, it's really hard on black hair,

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

I say continue what you are doing and soon I will join you; it's so sad to see black females particularly younger ones that have disappearing hair lines and a "beedy beeds" forest in the back (LOL). I have seen this with older black females as well.

At this point in my life it is not worth it to me; I want to be the way Mother Nature intented me to be

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Black hair is beautiful natural and straightened , just like white peoples hair can be curly or straightened. Beautiful all ways.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

While I do straighten my hair, with a flat iron, I think that some of us are just plain ignorant. Some of us listen to what hollywood thinks is beautiful, i.e long, straight hair. It's crazy that people of other races don't have a problem with our hair but some of us do.

Btw, I would never perm my hair if it was kinky enough for me to do so. My mom had a really bad experience with a perm and now she wears her hair natural.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

You are not every black woman on earth, so if you want to cut your hair and keep it short, then fine. Do so.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Ayita, don't worry about what people say. What you do with your hair is your business. If you like it, it shouldn't matter what jealous/ignorant people say. I used to wear my hair natural and in braids and my mom used to straighten it with a hot comb. But in the 9th grade I started getting it chemically relaxed with a kiddy "perm". I don't see anything disgusting about it, that's just my preference to straighten my hair that way.

And actually its not just African-Americans assimilating. Caucasians get curly perms to have curly hair and tan to have darker skin.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Just because some black women straighten their hair doesn't mean they all want to be white. It's a personal choice. And anyone that treats you differently because of your hair texture is immature and practicing a form of Self-hatred. Do what makes you feel good and ignore stupid people.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

i am definately giving you thumbs up for keeping it natural!!!

:-)

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Well what I or any other woman does with their/my hair is really none of your business. Why you find it disgusting is your problem. I'm sorry that people tease you about your hair %26amp; features, however what does that have to do with the rest of the populous? I love my hair relaxed, well it never goes straight like I'm sure yours does when it's relaxed, it stays curly until I straighten it with a flat iron or a wash %26amp; set. Then it will stay straight for about a week because I like to wash it once or twice a week. For me this is easy because when I want it curly, I wear it curly, when I want it straight I wear it straight. I think the wonderful thing about black hair is we can do so many things to it. I truly am sorry for the harrasment that you are facing however, that has no hold on me am I'm sure any other sista who decides to wear their hair relaxed. The problem doesn't seem to be that you hate that we relax our hair, it's that you are being harrased for not relaxing yours.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

As if we don't have enough people bashing black people on here already. If they want to straighten out their hair and put perms then why not. Everybody doesn't look right rocking the natural look. I wear my hair the way I am more comfortable with it. Not because of what everybody else thinks. Do you and stop worrying about everybody else.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Pay it no never mind.

It's a part of the self hate we have developed.

We ,or some of us,hate ourselves so much that we hate anything that is black.

Dark skin,kinky hair,you name it.

it's also why there is so much Black on Black crime.

(Although I don't believe all the deaths of young black men reported as "gang shootings" are actually gang shootings.)

So we got racist cops, self hating cops and self hating young men gunning down other black men.

It's open season and we black men are an endangered species..

Wear your hair with pleasure and pride.

YOU GO GURL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

I just want to comment on what you said that people tell you no man would want to marry you.

That is not true, I know many black women with natural short hair that are happily married.

And there's nothing wrong about being an African, people make it seem like its bad and use it as an insult.

thumbs up

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

Okay, that was your reason and experience with your hair, not every black woman feels that way. Black women chemically straighten their hair for many of reasons because it is easy to manage on a daily basis and can hold a variety of styles. Besides, not just black women chemically straighten their hair. What other women decide to do with their hair is their business not yours, you may find it disgusting but that is not the case. It is just hair, it is meant to be used as a style of your personal expression. No, long/straight hair doesn't equal beautiful but to some people it does. Personally, I like my hair curly. Weather it is chemically straighten or natural it is ALL beautiful, just do you and not worry about anybody else.

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

i don't think that perming your hair is bad, because it is still your hair and it is easier to style it when it is straight and thinner. many women have thicker or just plain curly hair and it is much easier for them to just straighten it. and i see nothing wrong w/ that. i straighten my hair because it makes it easier to do things w/, because when it is curly i can just put it in a ponytail or wear it done, but it is harder to do different styles to it. but i don't think that you look like an african person and even if you did it doesn't matter sense most of your ancestors came from there anyway, and there is nothing wrong w/ being natural, but there also is nothing wrong w/ straightening either. but you don't look bad, you shoudl just ignore the haters

Assimilation and Hair Texture in the Black Community???

This is too long for me to read, and in the end, it really has no point to it, so what are u asking about, again?? i am Hispanic and i relax my hair sometimes, there's nothing wrong with doing that, maybe u should consider doing the same if ur tired of ppl tellin u that uir hair is nappy and ugly.

How many reality shows about hair stylists have there been, can you name them? Trying to settle argu

the 3rd one was called "Split Ends"..... and it was on the Style Network...

it looks like Oxygen is coming up with a hair stylist show too.. it is going to be called, "Tease"..

How many reality shows about hair stylists have there been, can you name them? Trying to settle argument?

I can think of three.

1. Jonathan Antin's Blow Out

2. Bravo's Sheer Genius

3. I don't know the name of the other one but I have it set in my Tivo. It was on Discovery or something and it was like Trading Spouses - two stylists from totally different types of salons traded places for about 4 days. Drama and hijinks ensue.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

in my opinion i think that the media is very one sided on what beauty really is its always the long haired light skin and skinny girls making all the publicity (beyonce, halle berry, paris hilton etc) i think that the media should show more of a variety of people of all different skin tones sizes and hair esp in the modeling industry because not all people have that certain media look

in the future i hope to come up with a beauty and fashion magazine that shows people of all hair skin colors and sizes because in my opinion i think that beauty comes in many varities not just the typical standard of beauty what do you think?

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

Years ago in the 50,s , all the miss America,s were proportionate women. Back then you called them healthy. After Twiggy, an English celebrity, came along, society made everyone think "thin" was in. Personally I think people who get thin like that look anorexic to me. It,s sad that so many were affected by what others perceived as beautiful caused so many to starve themselves to death because they wanted to be accepted. Being a guy I can tell you that most men want a woman that takes care of herself both physically and mentally and has more brains than the ones on "beauty and the geek. Yes they may look attractive on the outside but how could anyone carry on an intelligent conversation with any of them. There are many girls out there who may not win a beauty contest but in my book, every person possesses beauty, either in the way they speak or in the way their heart shines. Outside beauty fades with age; inner beauty only get more beautiful.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

I agree. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder".

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

you're completely correct but the image wilkl change over time.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

I think we live in an egocentric world where people will always focus on the beauty of the exterior rather than the interior. I have met many beautiful looking people who were ugly on the inside, unfortunately the world doesn't care about that though.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

Skinny is ugly. Like em thick. Not too thick though, can be tough to chew.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

Because that is whats pleasing to the eye. Who wants to see Jobba the hut on T.V. in a 2 peice gording his face with pizza! Not me!! And for the record Paris Hilton is NASTY and UGLY!!!!

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

we have been sooo brainwashed to believe this, that we get upset when someone disagrees. Beauty is personal to every individual.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

I completely agree with you but I don't know when this mindset is going to change. Damn media.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

Feel threatened?

Thats perfection of a human body, deal with it.

Why does the media always protray beauty as being tall long hair and light skinned?

PFffhh LMAO Beyonce and Halley berry are NOT light skinned LMAO paris hilton is and cant you see the difference between paris hilton, beyonce, and halley's skin color? gosh..

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

My hair is a bit of a carroty colour, with a bit of a blondey brown edge to it.

Heres a pic to show you my hair colour:

(sorry about it being a bad ugly picture lolol)

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

well, there IS a brand you can buy at CVS where it'll make your hair EXTREMELY blonde.

it works great!

i forget the name of the brand, but it was very cheap, very affordable [MUCH cheaper than at a hair dresser, espicially because you do it yourself] and it works GREAT.

just keep an eye out. it slould be called something like "extreme blonde". i think it's by loreal or garnier frutics.

and your color is amazing!!

i love it, you shouldn't have to change it. you have awesome style :D

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

I just had mine bleached today. It was about fourty dollars. You would have to do it every month or two to keep your roots from showing.

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

Loreal Quick Blue works VERY well, with a 40 volume developer. That is pretty much max power. I would typically advise doing it in stages so your hair doesn't turn literally to an elastic and fall out. But since your hair is pretty light anyway, it shouldn't take that much leave-on time. Quick Blue, you can get a whole tub at Sally's Beauty Supply for only about 10 bucks.

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

Please don't do it! Your hair is sooo pretty and so unique! Bleaching is a trap that you get stuck in. I have light brown hair and I bleached it and regretted it because it damages it and when you get sick of the color you have to dye it back to your normal color but it never goes back and then you have to wait for this ugly color to grow out. My boss told me that I should never dye until my hair is grey, because then it is all over. But I should enjoy my natural color while I still can. Bleaching is expensive and damaging and annoying. Your roots grow out and then you have to get it done again but sometimes you don't have the time or the money so then you look like trailer trash. I think bleached blonde hair looks trashy anyway, so Anna Nicole. I love your hair, don't change it!

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

Its about 100 dollars for complete bleach...

It will be about 150 dollars when I get it done tomorrow for I need to get my hair toned cause I have natural red hair and blonde doesn't like me very much.

My hair is blonde bangs and blond highlights on red...

I'm actually going all blonde with two red strips on the sides tomorrow.

His a picture... I'm kinda scary looking so... sorry about that

http://www.myspace.com/xjexxax

Its obviously myspace and you cant view the better showing pics if you arnt logged in.

I have really oily hair and I bleach it it doesnt hurt it at all... my hair looks and feels really healty

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

go for it you well look hot w blonde hair

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

you should just get really light blonde hair dye..because the more you bleach ur hair it gets all frizzy and it breaks off

:]

Bleaching Hair Blonde Question?

That's a good idea but you should cut a bit the fringe only a bit
