i have naturally dirty blond hair. i dyed it black back in december. it faded to a medium brown and my blonde roots started showing. (my hairs gronw about an inch sense the dye black) i bought a lighter color and dyed it trying to lighten my hair just a bit, it just turned my roots orange. so the next day i just bought med brown and dyed it all that but my roots still look very bronze-like.
would anyone recommend that i just strip it and dye it as close to my natural? does anyone have any other recommendations?

i think you solved your problem yourself. just strip it and since it usually gets too light dye it back.

At this point you have dramatically over processed your hair and could end up with a very different result and damaging your hair further. Even though I'm not one to quickly suggest this, you should see a professional to get some guidance at least.
Dying your hair so many times can make it become brittle where it will break easily, and that wouldn't be a good thing.
