Okay so i have dark to medium brown hair like this:

I want it to be a light shade like this

If i use a lighter hair dye color like a dirty blonde will it have an outcome of the light brown hair shown above? Or is there any other technique? A good brand? By the way,

I don't want to get it professionally done....so please help :)

no do not use a blond(it will come out too light), use a brown that is still a bit lighter than the color you wish to have

you have to get it profesionally died like that. there is no other way it will turn out bad.

um. then you don't dye it. you bleach it, untill the hair gets towards the reder tones....

especally if you have dark dark hair. if you wanted to DYE it. you would have to bleach your hair, WHITE or REALLY BLOND, and then DYE it that color.

but the first way is less damaging, and more natural....

Get it done professionally and bring the picture and they will know what to do.. It loks like you would need like lots of lighter brown toned highlights..
