Have you ever tried henna hair color and does it look natural?

I have natural dark brown hair and would like to cover very small amounts of gray hair starting to show. I am interested to find out if henna hair color looks natural and if it is best to go with a lighter color henna or the same color as my natural color? Also, how long does henna color last and does it cause your hair color to be permanently altered when it wears off.

OMG !

do not use henna !

I did, and it smelled so horrible!

its left my hair feeling dry... %26amp; you cannot dye it with hair salon dye, so if you hate the colour/ it doesnt match, you have to wait till it fades. Try natural hair dye (still takes a while to fade, adn when you sye it dye washes out) but the one i use is called herbatint its an all natural hair dye...

I would NOT use henna on that. It'll turn red and probably uneven. Use organic hair colors that you can get in health stores. Good luck.

Henne hair dye is great because it doesnt harm your hair and it does look natural! the only con is that you cannot lighten your hair with henna dye.

I tried Henna years ago and turned out looking like Lucille Ball (that was the hair dye she used, to be fair.)

If you want to do dark brown it needs to have indigo mixed in with it...also, rather than covering the grey it just makes it look like people have lighter highlights...

Henna lasts anywhere from 8 washes to "permanent" depending on which brand you use.

Henna on your hair will cover the grey and give you red tone in the sun.

It is lovely and does look natural.

It is a safe and natural dye, but it only comes in one color if you use 100% pure henna. It is a permanent dye, but will fade a bit with sun and washing. It will not harm your hair.http://www.hennacaravan.com/shop/hair.ht...

To cover grey, which is hard to do, you need to purchase henna with a high dye content. Some places sell old or cheap henna with less dye content and it will not cover the gray.
