i had really long hair and it didnt have a style to it..so it was pretty much a clean pallet. well i showed her the hair i wanted but she gave me something completly different and i hate it. she gave me layers, and the bottom layer is only in the back and its long, so it curls under, but the top layer goes all the way around and it flips up [its about shoulder length]. how can i just make it so its super stick straight and theres no flipping or curling or anything? ive tried straightening it with but it doesnt work. anything else? and i cant spend money so no hair products or anything. ughhh she messed up my hair!!! its awful.

urghhh this happened to me too. mine really annoys me. i tried using wax, and also some hair gel ish stuff, but it either doesn't work or just makes it look greasy.

now i just try and tie mine back. =[

i dunno how you can make it straight but funny story... I went with my friends family on a trip and we had to watch his sister get her hair cut. When she saw her hair she went crazy! she was screaming and calling the lafy a b**ch it was hilarious!!!!

Well, Option 1 you can invest in a better straightener.. This is well worth it... Remington Wet to Straight is supposedly pretty good and it isn't that expensive.. If you are looking for a more expensive iron , you can try Sedu or Chi

Option 3 Have you tried blowdrying it and using a round brush to try and curl in the layers?

I know how you feel.. To be honest when i first got layers , i hated them.. But I have learned to absolutely love them.. They really can compliment your face if you style them right!

Since the lady didn't give you what you wanted.. I would go back and tell her... Either have her or another hairdresser fix it up to how you want it or just get a refund..

Aw, I'm sorry! Been here many times... Hmm, I know you don't want to curl, but I would try curling/turning all of your hair under. Maybe pin up one side to go with this. You could wear it pulled half-back until funds for a repair can be made. Low pigtails, different height pony-tails, if you have a good amount of body in your hair, you can do as I do when a crazy messes up my layers.

I wash, condition lightly, rinse, ring out and wrap in towel for 10 minutes. Bend over, hang hair upside down and apply mousse. Blow-dry to get most of wetness gone. Stand up, part hair with my fingers right side towards left side. Crimp hair bottom up to root with hand maybe apply more mousse or a TOUCH of gel. Dry a little more to help the curls/waves and vo-la! You can't really tell where the mess up is! I do this do alot untill my mess grows out or can be fixed. Hope something here has helped. You can check it out at easystraight.com. CVS carries it and it's under $10. I realize you weren't looking for hair product solutions but this is the only solution I know of.

Hi this exact same thing happened to me! Im just going to let my layers grow out ( i also straighten it but it still flicks and poofs after an hour) but in the mean time i find that my hair looks a better when i jus simply keep my hair tucked back behind my ears, bit random but it looks better that way xx

i just got mine done yesterday like yours only its shorter just below my ears (which is wayyy shorter than i told her to do!) and i can't even tie it up!! it looks soooo bad =(

on the bright side in 3-6 months it should resolve itself, though i'm not looking foward to suffering a few LONG months..
