Is there a way to make my layers show on my hair?

I just got a haircut and it has a lot of layers. However, you can't really see it unless you're up close. How can I make my layers noticable with just using hairspray/hair gel? I only have those supplies at home but when I try using it, it looks odd. XD

Get a flat iron. Start from underneath, grab each section, flip up SLIGHTLY, keep going up. If it still looks odd, chaulk it up to a bad haircut and go get another stylist help.

blow dry your hair when you get out of the shower and follow up with a straightening iron. then gently tease your hair... it brings out the layers just enough! it's that simple, you don't need a ton of fancy hair products!

Depends on the color of your hair, obviously lighter hair shows more things.

use a hair pomade/wax and put it thruogh the ends that will separate them

If you just had it cut your layers should show without any help from products. Maybe you need to go back to the hairdresser and ask for another trim or to cut your layers a little shorter. Hmmmm.

Don't use combs or brushes when your hair is wet - just hand comb it.

Use just a little gel right underneath the bangs if you have them.

Start by blow drying it upside down with your head hanging toward the floor then, stand up and finish it by blowing upwards through your hair. Use your hand to lift it as you blow your tresses up.

When dry, try using just a pick and again, bend over and pick from root to ends.

Spray with a little aerosol hair spray all over still, with your head hanging down. Stand back up and if you've bangs, lift them and spray their underside to give them a lasting lift and some definition.

Straight hair is on its way out,so don't be afraid to let your hair flow in its more natural state and use spray - instead of damaging heat - to give lift between layers.
