I bleeched it/dyed it vampire red some months ago then the red faded so dyed it a brown(took me 3 times to get right colour(im picky) Then i had a cut and so its short(was told the cut would be gud for my hair). Then dyed it blue-black but didnt show much,so 2 weeks after dyed it normal (not jet) black.Again colour started to sort of fade so used live violet (waterproofed one) and it only seem to go on the roots and give a tiny pinky red tint.So washed out as much as i could of the purple the day after, then dyed it with one of the feria hi lift browns and it showed if ur hair is black bla bla bla but it just came out a very dark brown with the odd light brown golden bits.(after the purple i used some bleech(hair kind) to see how long and what colour my hair wud go so hence the lighter colours. I now want my hair 2grow and eventully want a dark blonde with highlights but at that time i cud just dye it as natural colour is dark blonde, bfn i want a lght brown help?btw i condition alot
Can i dye my previously dyed black hair to a mid brown without damaging it?
Here is a rule maybe you need............
Color does NOT lift color.
If that doesn't make sense to you....then you need to stop doing so much to hair....you are slowly destroying it. You must have strong very strong hair..... to take all that abuse.
Everything you have done has not worked because you are not doing things that are NOT even possible.
Hair color is chemistry.
There are some things that work and some things that don't - you cannot do "whatever you want".....
that is not how it works.
If you want to learn the proper way to do hair color...then you should begin reading as I am teaching it as though it was a class.... only on the internet.
But you would have to calm your jets a little.....as i am teaching the proper way.....NO kits
no Feria Bullshit...
from scratch.
give it a look

If you really want the color to come out right and considering all that you have done to your hair to this point I would seek a professional to do it. They would be able to strip your hair of all the old color dye and then apply the color you want.
