How can I get my red hair back without dye or anything? any alternative therapies?

My hair has been turning grey and I really want my red hair back and I dont want to dye it. My eye brows are still reddish but that's about it. the rest is grey and mixed with ash blonde, no red anymore. I dont' understand where the ash blonde color came from. Older pictures of me show reddish hair. I got sick 4 years ago with pancreatitis and adrenal insufficiency but I'm doing better now in both areas...

I'm only 46 and I don't understand why it's already turning colors. I'm not like 70 or anything.

I'm trying to eat more nutritious food I exercise a lot and all that. I'm open to ideas.

thanks

On average, people of European descent start turning gray at around 35. Almost everyone starts getting some by 45 though. No effective treatments are known to reverse it, so get used to it or hit the dye.

Edit: That "rejuvelac" recipe incidentally is one type of traditional recipe for ale. It sounds like it would probably come about 1-2% alcohol, what they call a "small ale."

People say that Rejuvelac, a beverage made by fermenting grains, will reverse the graying of hair.

Try the following -

1/2 cup dried sage, 1/2 cup dried rosemary

2 cups hot water

Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes, then steep for several hours. Strain, and then use the resulting liquid for the colorant.

Apply to hair and leave on until dried. Rinse and dry. Repeat weekly until you obtain the desired shade, then monthly to maintain color.

I am not sure you can reverse the signs of stress and/or aging. A safe and healthy alternative to hair dye is to use henna. I have a "few" grey hairs and I am 32. I use henna and it does the trick and feels great. Best of luck!

A number of people i know in the raw vegan community say that their hair has gone back to its original color since they started following an exclusively raw vegan diet.

It is also said that drinking a glass or two of rejuvelac (a health beverage made from fermented wheat) will help hair return to its original color, in addition to the other benefits it provides.

Hey, my dark brown hair started to show some gray when I was in my twenties. Most people in their mid forties will have some gray, those who don't are using dye.

There really are only two choices: embrace the gray or embrace dyes. I have choosen the gray and love it.

go to your health food store and buy some henna it comes in different shades of red. it's organic and a herb. it last about 1-2 months and conditions your hair also. I use it on my dark brown hair I am about 40 percent Grey and it washes and wears out more natural then hair coloring.
