Why wont my downloaded sims show up in the game?

i download makeup hair sims but dont show up in the game i do have a download folder and im downloading only the ones for my games i even download the cep what im i doing wrong for the sims do i put them in my downloads folder

meshes are a must, check to see if the mesh was in the download. The hair or sim will show up in Create-a Sim depending on who made the content some hair will show up if you click the custom content thing others will show up under the correct colour

the annoying thing about sims down loadable content u have to download the mesh for the items as well

the mesh is like the colour texture and appearance of the item so without this the item will not appear
